Incase Slider Case Review

The Incase Slider for the iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is very much a simple case but in my opinion that is what you want from a case. Just to do what it is meant to do, which is protect your iPhone/iPod. Note that the case is also available for the iPhone and previous iPod Touch generation.

The choice of colours is pretty limited compared with other cases out there which in more of a variety of colours but you can’t go wrong if you are in the market for a sleek and durable case.

Matt Black

Metallic Red

Gun Metal Grey

Glossy White

This case feels very nice during use while only adding a bit of thickness and weight to an iPod Touch. In my case, I was looking for a case that gave the iPod Touch a bit more weight and make it a bit more chunky in the hand and the Incase Slider was perfect. The case is made out of very durable plastic and it very strong even when you apply a lot of pressure to it, it never bends. I believe this is down to the curved design and you can see in the pictures that there is a bit of a lip around the screen which does a good job of keeping your iPod Touch sturdy and safe while keeping dirt and dust building up inside the case.

I went for the Glossy White colour. I felt that it looked a bit a different and finish was exactly what I was looking for. It is hard to describe but it is the same shiny plastic which is found on a number of other products but I did also have a look at the other materials which the different colour cases used:

Matt Black:     Used a rather hard to describe finish. It is similar to what a lot of mobile phone cases used. A very smooth rubber texture. It is rather interesting and before you buy any of the colours I recommend trying each one out in store.

Metallic Red: This one used a hard plastic with a Metallic Red finish. It definatly looked very different compared the usual dull black and grey iPod Touch cases and looks quite funky.

Glossy White: The case I went for. At the time I was looking for a case which could protect the chrome backing of my iPod Touch and give the iPod Touch a bit more weight to it as in my opinion, it always feels a little thin without a case. So what can I say. This is one of the nicest and sleek case I have ever seen. If you are in the market for a new case this should be one of the first on your list.
